Over 30 years ago, Risa Sheppard developed, The Sheppard Method of Pilates; A classic form of Pilates that speaks to the body. This 30 minute mat workout provides the flexibility, strength and movement that enables the viewer to discover their own personal perfection and feel good from the inside out. For some, this may mean fitting into those jeans, for others, it allows the flexibility to tie their own shoes or wake up in the morning without pain. This is not a miracle DVD. The daily work has to be done. This is a feel good workout that is challenging, depending on your athletic ability. Done 30 minutes a day, at least 3 days a week, it will strengthen the body at its core, improve how one feels, and provide the desired results. Risa made this DVD because she truly cares about people and knows that the work can improve everyone’s lives. Risa connects with the view and speaks to the body.

Master teacher, Risa Sheppard earned her BA at UCLA while working at The Neuropsychiatric Institue teaching creative movement to autistic children. She has been featured in numerous articles and on television. She has worked with classic masters Jack LaLanne, Richard Simmons and Ron Fletcher, who studied uner Joseph Pilates himself. Risa is the owner of The Sheppard Method Pilates Studios in Southern California. She offers group classes, personal training and Pilates certification. She is the author of Risa Sheppard’s Fitness Formulas for a Firm and Flat Stomach.
