Description:
Bas Rutten has a 2nd degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do and ShinTai Karate. A 5th degree in Kyokushin Karate. He is a 3-time undefeated world Champion in Japan for the organization Pancrase and an undefeated UFC heavy weight Champion. He was the very first European fighter to win the UFC World Championship and in 2015 he was inducted into the UFC Hall Of Fame. Bas started his career as a striker, then taught himself the ground game, fell in love with it, resulting in many submission victories.
Bas trained many fighters, the most notable ones are Mark Kerr, Genki Sudo, Carlos Newton, Duane Ludwig, Alex Steibling and Kimbo Slice. He trains the Navy Seals, Marines, Homeland Security, Law enforcement, SWAT and the Elite Special Forces. After his Fighting career Bas Rutten has been hosting numerous MMA shows and made appearances in Movies and TV-show’s. Today he is teaching at Elite MMA Gym which he runs together with Randy Khatami.
