Description:
The unconscious mind concept and its' processes are briefly described. Trance is induced by the patient's visual description of his/her unconscious. The problem is visualized, as in a dream. Trance is deepened by placing the image of the problem into the unconscious "to see what happens."
Educational Objectives:
- To observe an Erickson-influenced utilization of the unconscious mind in therapy.
- To develop a patient's own imagery into a healing method.

His book, The Problem of Evil: Ancient Dilemmas and Modern Therapy, appeared in 2000. Dr. Greenleaf's unique style and extensive background in the use of hypnosis as an aid for enhancing lives and overcoming obstacles is truly something that must be experienced in order to be understood.
