In this lecture, Dr. Weaver discusses primary care for pediatric ophthalmologic screening.
Learning Objectives:
- Appreciate the importance of vision screening during childhood.
- Understand methods that enhance the accuracy of visual acuity screening.
- Appreciate new technologies that can identify signs of potential vision problems.
Grievance Policy:
All grievances should be in writing and should specify the nature of the grievance. Initially, all grievances should be directed to MAOPS Executive Director, who will then forward said grievance to the Education & Convention Committee. All grievances will receive an initial response in writing within 30 days of receipt. Daniel Weaver MD is a Pediatric Ophthalmologist practicing at Billings Clinic in Billings, Montana. Dr. Weaver received his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University, in Cleveland, Ohio, and residency at Mayo Clinic, in Rochester, Minnesota. He went on to complete a fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology at Wills Eye Hospital, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Ophthalmology. Dr. Weaver is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus, Montana Medical Association and Montana Academy of Ophthalmology. He joined Billings Clinic in 1992.
